NIGERIA COMPUTER SOCIETY OGUN STATE CHAPTER AGM, Investiture and Merit Awards

The 2nd Annual General meeting (A.G.M) of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) Ogun state chapter and its Merit award and investiture was held on 10th March, 2012 at Mama Cass, Ibara,Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The NCS Ogun state, programme of AGM event included: Opening Prayers, Opening Remark by Dr A.S Sodiya, the NCS Ogun State Chairman, Secretariat Address by Mr Diyan Oluranti, General Secretary, Financial Reports by Mrs Rabiu, Financial Secretary and the Chairman’s Address byDr A.S Sodiya.
There was a response from members and an address by the Executive Secretary of NCS, Mr Chinedu Onuoha. Thereafter the council of the Ogun State executives was dissolved.
The election for the new set of executives was conducted by Mr Fayemi Olufemi- Chairman, Electoral Committee followed by closing remarks by the General Secretary; ending with the closing prayer.
Election conducted ushered in the following Executives:
Dr. A .S Sodiya Chairman (Re-elected), Mr Agholor Sunday Vice Chairman, Mr O.A Kaka Treasurer, Mrs K.M Rabiu Financial Secretary (Re-elected), Mr Ayeni Gabriel Social/welfare Secretary, Mr Durosinmi Adekunle PRO, Mr Tunde Solanke Asst General Secretary (Re-elected)
Investiture and the Award Ceremony
Senator Ibikunle Amosun Executive Governor Ogun state was the Special Guest of Honour while Alhaji Salisu Afolabi(Deputy Chief of state,ogun state) and Mr Bunmi Adebanjo Senior Special Assistant on ICT, Governors office, Ogun state were guest speakers. Guest of Honours were Alhaji Ladi Oguneye, Provost College of Fellows, NCS and Barr. Segun Odubela,Commissioner of Science and Education ogun state.
The event was also attended by prominent personalities in Nigeria, including Vice Chancellor, Bells University Ota, Ogun state, Prof Isaac Adeyemi, the Chairman House Committee on Science and Technology, Federal House of Representatives, Hon Abiodun Akinlade, the Registrar, Bells University ota, Ogun state, Mrs Oluwayemisi Gbadebo, Head ICT and Security Department, Shell petroleum, Port harcourt, Mr Deolu Okanlawon and 1st Vice President NCS Mr Sam Juwe, Executive Secretary NCS Mr Chinedu Onuoha and other members from National Secretariat of Nigeria Computer Society.

5. Most IT Support Media House- Paramount Fm 94.5
6. IT Improvement Award- Federal College of Education, Osiele Abeokuta
7. Best IT Presenter Award- Mr Leye Adegboye
8. Best Undergraduate Software Developer- Mr Yomi Osamiluyi, Bells University of Technology Ota.
The swearing-in of new executives member of Nigeria Computer Society Ogun State chapter was conducted by 1st Vice President of Nigeria Computer Society, Mr Sam Juwe.
